Job Description

Security Account Manager jobs at Allied Universal are accountable for day-to-day operations of an assigned account, including hiring, training, disciplining and terminating staff. Build, improve and maintain relationships with clients and employees: develop & retain staff; coordinate needed support services and solve problems to effectively run the account. Meet or exceed financial & operational goals; provide quality customer service. Maintains or oversees maintenance of weekly operating schedules and completion of payroll for assigned security personnel. Provides after-hour emergency response as required. To support and ensure success in this role, we provide a comprehensive, week-long management onboarding course designed to provide best practices, tools and guidance.

Essential Functions

  • Security Operations Management:
  • Oversee and manage all security operations
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to security
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies
  • Maintain accurate security records, incident reports, and documentation
  • Provide weekly activity summaries to the client
  • Team Leadership and Supervision:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of security personnel
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the security team
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement professional development plans
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, integrity, and exceptional customer service
  • Security Systems and Technology:
  • Manage and maintain all security systems, including CCTV, access control, Heliaus Workforce Management System, and alarms
  • Coordinate with external vendors for system upgrades, maintenance, and repairs
  • Always ensure the availability and functionality of security equipment
  • Emergency Preparedness and Response:
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures
  • Conduct regular drills and exercises to test the effectiveness of emergency protocols
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire, and emergency services agencies
  • Provide guidance and support during crisis situations and maintain calm and orderly operations
  • Customer Relations and Communication:
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with residents, guests, and stakeholders
  • Address security-related concerns, inquiries, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Communicate security updates, policies, and procedures effectively to all relevant parties
  • Collaborate with property management and other departments to ensure seamless operations

Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a diverse team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in using security systems, such as CCTV, access control, and alarm systems
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal security regulations and standards
  • Schedule flexibility to meet the demands of the site during events and holidays and work at least one weekend day a month
  • Ability to develop and grow customer relationships
  • Experience in hiring, developing, motivating and retaining quality staff
  • Previous payroll, billing and scheduling experience preferred

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, preferably in a retail setting
  • Previous Contract Security, facilities management, military or law enforcement experience
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
